I would like to know why the agency fees are so high... Is it possible to go through the process without an agency? Do you have any guide lines?

We adopted from Ussuriysk in 2004... It was more than this. Maybe because of our area and how far it was. I went twice, my husband went once. We stayed the ten days after adoption. Spent two and a half days in Moscow waiting on paperwork to go through... It was more like 42,000. At that time you could do it without an agency and do an independent. It was three trips though. So, it may still cost the same or more. Not sure why it is so high. Because that is how I roll. If you have questions, just ask.

Hi everyone. I am calling from Spain and i would like to know if those expenses are in dollars. Are they?. Here in Spain the total cost is between 24.000 and 30.000 euros (travel expenses included) for adopting a child by a family. I have heard that only 1.000 euros are for the orphanat. Is that correct? Thanks.
