According to Russian adoption law orphans with the following deceases could not be adopted:
- tuberculosis
- deceases of internal, nervous system, musculoskeletal system in decompensation stage
- oncological
- drug addiction, drug abuse, alcoholism
- infectious diseases
- mental diseases which lead child incapable fully or partly
- invalids of I and II group
